System requirements

The following components are needed to run ClassAd on your webserver::

• PHP 4 with activated and working session-management, activated upload function
• MySQL database server (Version 3.23 or newer)
• GD-Library installed (used to picture conversion and resizing) / GD-Version 2.0 is highly recommended for Windows systems because of its true color support

ClassAd 4.0 was developed and tested using PHP version 5.0.3. Additional testing done with PHP version 4.4.

Using PHP 5.x

Since ClassAd 3.5 ClassAd was changed to work with PHP5. Particularly with regard to the directive REGISTER_GLOBALS, ClassAd was changed to allow being used with PHP5's standard settings (set to 'off').

ClassAdX will run exclusively with PHP5/6.
